What is the difference in Botox/Dysport and Fillers?

Botox and Dysport are injections that used to treat wrinkles, mostly contained in the upper face and around the eyes. Both injections are made from botulinum toxin and smooth out wrinkles by weakening the muscles that are injected.

Fillers, like Restylane and Juvederm, are made from hyaluronic acid and are mainly used to fill in lines and plump facial areas like cheeks, lips, chin and other areas.

What is the difference between Juvederm and Restylane?

Both are synthetic hyaluronic acid fillers, a product that we natural produce to plump our skin and tissue. As we age, our natural hyaluronic acid begins to decline. Dermal fillers are used to restore this depletion to lift, tighten and soften the appearance of the aging process.

Juvederm and Restylane are composed slightly different. It is truly is an aethetic injector’s eye that can tell you which product will give you the results you desire. Many times, we combine both Juvederm and Restylane fillers to give you the final look you are wanting to achieve.

Can I combine treatments in one visit?

Yes, several clients prefer to get Botox or Dysport treatment while numbing for other treatments. Many times, several areas should be treated to resolve the areas that you are focused on. Learn more about our injection services or contact us with any questions.

How can I get the most out of my treatment?

We always recommend getting on an at-home skin care regime. Doing in-office aethetic treatments combined with injectables will give you the best overall results.

What happens after the fillers wear off?

Your lips, cheeks, chin, forehead and frown lines gradually start to fall back into their normal shape depending on which filler is used. Some fillers are FDA approved to last up to 2 years, while others need to be touched up from 6-9 months.
